Description

The First Line of Defence for Loading Bays

Loading docks are high-risk zones for structural damage. Even a slow-moving truck carries immense momentum when reversing, capable of cracking concrete walls or damaging dock levellers in an instant.

Our Heavy-Duty Rubber Dock Bumpers act as a critical cushion between the vehicle and your infrastructure. Manufactured from high-quality, durable rubber, these 1000mm long fenders are engineered to absorb significant compressive force, dissipating the energy of the impact before it damages the building or dents the truck’s rear bar.

Available in two profiles (100mm or 150mm thick), they are weather-resistant and designed for long-term performance in busy warehouses, distribution centres, and industrial manufacturing facilities.

Protects Infrastructure & Vehicles

It’s a dual-benefit solution. The bumper prevents the truck from crushing the concrete dock face (saving you structural repair costs), while the forgiving rubber surface prevents scratches and dents to the delivery vehicle (saving the haulage company repairs).

High Energy Absorption

Standard rubber strips aren’t enough for 20-tonne trucks. These block-style bumpers are solid and dense, designed specifically to compress under heavy loads without splitting or “bottoming out.”

Versatile sizing

We offer two profile sizes to suit your specific dock projection requirements:

  • 100mm x 100mm: Standard protection for general delivery bays.

  • 150mm x 150mm: Extra depth for docks with levellers or where greater clearance is required between the truck and the wall.

How do I install these Rubber Dock Bumpers?

These Dock Bumpers are typically bolt-fixed directly into the concrete dock face. While they don’t always come pre-drilled (allowing you to position holes to avoid rebar), they are easily drilled and secured using heavy-duty masonry anchors or chemical studs.

Which size Dock Bumper do I need (100mm vs 150mm)?

It depends on your dock equipment. If you have a hydraulic dock leveller or a seal, you often need the thicker 150mm Dock Bumper to ensure the truck stops before hitting the mechanical equipment. For standard flat concrete walls, the 100mm Bumper is usually sufficient.

Are these Loading Dock Fenders suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The high-quality rubber used in our Dock Bumpers is UV-stabilised and weather-resistant. It will not rot, rust, or degrade when exposed to rain, sun, or salt air, making it suitable for outdoor loading bays and even marine applications.
