Barriers & Handrails
Industrial Guardrails, Handrails & Barrier Systems
Stop impacts. Guide pedestrians. Define your zones.
Creating a safe workspace requires a clear physical distinction between heavy machinery and human traffic. Our comprehensive range of Barrier Systems provides the right level of protection for every zone in your facility – from high-impact vehicle defence to ergonomic pedestrian guidance.
For critical asset protection, our heavy-duty Guardrails (Armco-style) are engineered to absorb and deflect forklift impacts, preventing damage to building structures and equipment. For walkway safety, our dedicated Pedestrian Handrails and Modular Clamp Rail Systems allow you to construct rigid, compliant barriers that keep staff out of harm’s way. Whether you need a ready-to-install solution or the flexibility of our Bollard Rail Brackets for retrofitting, we supply the infrastructure to build a fully segregated, compliant site.

Selecting the Right Barrier and Handrail System for Your Site
Separating pedestrians from moving vehicles and heavy machinery is a fundamental requirement for any compliant workplace. Whether you are establishing safe walkways in a busy logistics warehouse, securing a mezzanine floor, or directing foot traffic in transport infrastructure and public retail spaces, choosing the correct barrier system is essential.
Modular Pedestrian Handrails:
The most efficient way to establish dedicated, safe walkways across your facility. Because they are modular, they eliminate the need for costly on-site welding or custom fabrication. Simply bolt the base plates to the concrete and assemble the rails to fit your exact floor plan.
Heavy-Duty Guardrails (Crash Barriers):
While standard handrails keep pedestrians on the right path, heavy-duty guardrails are engineered to stop a forklift or heavy vehicle in its tracks. Install these high-impact barriers around critical infrastructure, racking ends, and high-risk blind corners.
Warehouse Segregation:
In fast-paced industrial environments, visual separation isn't enough. A solid, physical barrier system ensures absolute compliance by preventing staff from accidentally stepping into high-traffic forklift zones or active loading docks.
Built for Australian Industry:
Our barrier systems are constructed from heavy-wall steel and finished in highly visible safety yellow powder coat or hot-dipped galvanisation, ensuring they stand up to the daily punishment of commercial manufacturing and transport hubs.
Barriers & Handrail FAQs
Do I need a fabricator to install modular handrails?
No. One of the biggest advantages of our modular handrail systems is that they are designed for rapid, on-site assembly. The components simply slot together and lock into place with Allen keys or standard bolts, completely eliminating the need for hot works, welding, or specialized fabricators on your site.
What is the difference between a pedestrian handrail and a crash barrier?
Pedestrian handrails are designed to guide foot traffic, provide a physical grip on stairs or ramps, and prevent falls from edges like mezzanines. Heavy-duty crash barriers (or guardrails) are constructed from much thicker, corrugated steel and are specifically engineered to absorb the massive kinetic energy of a moving forklift or vehicle impact.
Can these handrails be used outdoors?
Yes. For outdoor environments, exposed transport hubs, or wet wash bays, we highly recommend selecting our Hot-Dipped Galvanised handrail options. The galvanised coating provides rugged, long-term protection against rust and the harsh Australian elements.
