For maximum effectiveness, rumble strips are rarely installed as a single bar. We highly recommend installing them in groupings of 3 to 5 bars, spaced roughly 300mm to 500mm apart. This ensures the vehicle’s tires hit multiple strips in rapid succession, guaranteeing the driver feels and hears the alert.
